Mushroom chicken in Sour Cream sauce

As some of the kids in my class would say: Dang this is good!
Well, after you eat this dish by Aunty Sara, thats exactly what your mouth would say
Any casual dinner at Aunty Sara’s house is not casual in any way! There are so many dishes always. And she has such interesting desserts too. Sometimes pie, sometimes chocolates. And oh ya the Noon Chai, she makes it soooo good!
This is a very very good recipe for cooking mushrooms and chicken together. If you havent tried mushrooms before, I think this is a good place to start. They taste so good with the chicken and the sour cream sauce. Its perfect!
Oh less talking, and more recipe.
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts cut in cubes,
Mushrooms 3 tubs,
2 medium onions fried,
1 tsp garlic paste,
1 tsp ginger paste,
Spices: black pepper, red chilli powder (mirchi), turmeric (haldi), cumin powder (zeera), corriander powder (dhania), garam masala.
8 oz sour cream,
1/2 can tomato sauce,
oil, water for cooking
Method:
First in the fried onion, add chicken, salt, ginger and garlic, Mix well, and cook on medium. After some water evaporates add the spices and the sour cream. Mix everything well together. Add the tomato sauce, again mix, cover and cook for some time. In the mean time, sautee the mushrooms in oil and a little salt. Add a little turmeric to this. Do this on high heat, as the mushrooms leave a lot of water. When the mushrooms are done, add them to the chicken, cover and cook till the chicken is tender.
Update: I just made this today, i did all the preparation, and I started cooking and all, and saw that I didnt have any sour cream, so I used yoghurt instead. It was good, also I did add 2 tbsp of butter. Since yoghurt is less fat than sour cream.
