Thanks for your comment. I am not sure if you could use &#039;chashni&#039;. Since the extra water in the syrup will change the texture. But, you could try it, in a small quantity though. Or, if I do this in the near future, I will try a bit with the syrup, and see how it goes, and then get back to you.

Till then, how about go get your grater, added benefit, its a mini workout for the arms too. :)

I am from Ahmedabad now in Israel. 

I wish to know instead grating the gud (jaggery) and mixing it in with the roasted flour if &#039;chasni&#039; of the gud is made with water or milk and then mixed it in with the roasted flour.

Secondly if brown or white sugar is used instead gud.
